Although you may choose any of our background images found within the Movie Props room, we know it helps to start with the Faith & Memorial category. Below you will also see a few of the more popular backgrounds used for a memorial movie.
Song Suggestions
When selecting a song, it might help to choose one that may be the person's favorite song, a song of worship, instrumental or classical music, or a song which may have some special meaning.
Here is a small list of some song suggestions appropriate for a memorial movie. We also have more song suggestions here.
Selecting Your Photos
A memorial movie usually has pictures that spans the person's entire life or is focused on a current time period (i.e. the last 5, 10 or 20 years). You may wish to divide the pictures into mini sections using captions to introduce each one. Sections that work well are by decades (1940's, 1950's, 1960's, etc.); stages of life (baby, child, teen, adult); or by the roles the person played in life (son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend).
You will need approximately 25-40 photos for your movie depending on the length and the tempo of the song you use. The chart below will give you an idea of how many photos you will need.

Assembling Your Package
The following is a short explanation of how to put together your package prior to shipping all the materials to us. If you prefer to read our complete guide, you may do so by going to our How To Guide page.
- Call us. Due to some high volume times, we may not be able to handle your order. Please call us at 937-299-6889 prior to ordering.
- Choose A Song.
- Select Your Photos. You will need between 25-40 pictures based on the length and tempo of the song chosen.
- Organize Your Photos. Arrange your photos into the order you want them to be in the movie.
- Label Your Photos. Using a small post-it note on the back of each photo, number the photos in the order you want them. Do not put the post-it note on the front of pictures since it will ruin the picture's finish.
- Prepare Your Order For Shipment.
- Place all of your photos in a zip lock bag to protect them from damage.
- Fill Out the Order Form.
- Make Your Payment.
- Ship all materials to us, including the pictures and order form. You must ship materials using an overnight service or a local delivery (if you live in the Dayton/Kettering, Ohio area).
